Getting ready for the season

The RMXA AMA District 25 race season starts on March 23rd and today I was able to practice for the first time all season. Last year because of the bad winter I had to show up at the first race with out even starting my bike in 4 months! It sucked, but I am sure that a few other guys where in the same boat. However today I went to Milliken race track, this is where the first race of the season is and I was so stoked to be able to spend some time on the track. I plan to practice at least once a week until the season starts. The first couple of laps around that track I was about the most arm pumped I have ever been! I was expecting it but kind of hoping that the time I spent at Boulder Rock Club this winter would ease the pump, it didn't! But after they calmed down and I got into the flow of the track I felt good and started going faster. I think I'll rip the bike apart on Tuesday and do the top end (gulp). I feel that it's not as rested as I am from the winter break. New Head, piston, Janine's Carb. and it should be running fine. Hope that Sun Honda has the parts in stock. Then next Sunday I'll break it in and post how that goes with some pics.
